Job summary

HireFlexperts is seeking a Plant Head to lead the setup and operations of a 10 GWh Li-ion Battery Pack Assembly facility in Bengaluru. You will own end-to-end responsibility for plant setup, commissioning, production, quality, safety, supply chain and people management.

Key duties include greenfield plant setup and ramp-up, managing Li-ion battery pack/BESS manufacturing operations, driving productivity and KPIs, and implementing MES, automation and digital manufacturing systems while ensuring

Qualifications

• 15+ years in plant/manufacturing leadership.
• Experience in greenfield plant setup and commissioning.
• Experience with Li-ion battery pack/BESS manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Knowledge of safety, EHS, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead greenfield plant setup, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
• Manage Li-ion battery pack/BESS manufacturing operations at scale.
• Drive productivity, yield, OEE, quality, cost, and delivery KPIs.
• Lead plant layout, equipment selection, automation, and manufacturing processes.
• Implement MES, automation, digital manufacturing, and traceability systems.
• Manage senior engineers, supervisors, technicians, and plant workforce.
• Ensure Li-ion battery safety, EHS, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with Engineering, SCM, Quality, EHS, Technology, and vendors.
• Manage components including cells, modules, BMS, enclosures, and raw materials.
• Build a culture of safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability.

• Proven experience in greenfield plant setup and commissioning.
• Experience handling large-scale manufacturing operations and teams.
• Strong knowledge of quality, EHS, automation, production planning, and supply chain.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
