Job summary

Sandhar Technologies in Chennai is seeking a Plant Operations Manager to lead manufacturing, maintenance, planning, and financial coordination while ensuring safety, quality, timely delivery, and controlled conversion costs.

The role focuses on process and quality improvements through lean concepts, cost optimisation of BOM items, and close collaboration with OEM customers for audits, new product introductions for 2W and 4W segments.

Responsibilities

• Plant Operations Oversight: Managing manufacturing, production, maintenance, operations, planning, sales, and financial coordination, while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and conversion cost.
• Financial & Cost Management: Evaluating monthly financial performance to enhance EBITDA and controlling costs related to materials, direct labour, process consumables, electricity, fuel, and overhead expenses.
• Process & Quality Improvement: Enhancing processes to reduce internal and external rejections, minimise rework, and implement lean concepts to improve working standards.
• Customer Management: Direct experience handling stringent OEM customers, Audits, New product introduction for both 2W and 4W Clients
• Resource & Cost Optimisation: Overseeing BOM costs to meet profitability targets (EBIT), coordinating with customers on requirements, and driving cost-cutting measures for scheduled price reductions.
