Job summary

IPE Global is expanding its Tourism, Heritage and Coastal Development team in Bengaluru to lead and support high-impact, donor/government-funded engagements in Karnataka and across India.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 7 years of experience in infrastructure planning, with a focus on tourism and coastal zones. You will coordinate with DoT and PSUs, supervise multiple agencies, and contribute to master plans, CZMP updates, and CRZ clearances.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Planning, Infrastructure Management, Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience, including infrastructure planning and procurement/bid process management for government/PSU clients.
• Experience in tourism/infrastructure sector and familiarity with coastal planning/CRZ regulations.

Responsibilities

• Tourism project conceptualization and planning leadership to develop products and site interventions (coastal regions preferred).
• Support Tourism Master Plan, CZMP updates, CRZ clearance streamlining.
• Support certification, green labelling, community engagement and benefit sharing.
• Feasibility, costing and technical planning inputs for identified tourism projects and infrastructure interventions.
• Land bank database creation, verification, and preparation of project profiles.
• Site visits for land verification, product identification, infrastructure planning and CZMP/CRZ assessment.
• Stakeholder coordination with DoT, district administrations and concerned agencies to facilitate approvals.
• Supervise and coordinate tasks undertaken by other agencies and vendors as directed.
• Prepare MoMs and track follow-ups across PMU team and clients.
• Assist Team Leader in preparing MPR, QPR, and other priority deliverables.
• Attend client meetings and present project progress updates.
• Execute any other task directed by the client or PMU.

Required Qualifications& Experience (as per TOR):

RelevantMaster's degree (Planning, Infrastructure Management, Project Management,Engineering, or equivalent), with 7 years of experience, including:

• Minimum 4years' combined experience in infrastructure planning/project development(Master Plans, DPRs, Feasibility Reports) and procurement/bid processmanagement for government/PSU clients, preferably in thetourism/infrastructure sector.
• Experienceworking on tourism projects for Central/State Government/PSU.
• Familiaritywith coastal planning/CRZ regulations.

Broad Scopeof Work:

• TourismProject Conceptualization & Planning Leadership – Lead ideation, conceptualization, andplanning of tourism products and site interventions. Experience in coastal regions preferred.
• Support with Tourism Perspective Plan, Tourism Master Plan, CZMP updating, CRZclearance streamlining, etc.
• Supportancillary tourism services such as certification support, green labelling,Community Engagement and Benefit Sharing, etc.
• Feasibility,Costing & Technical Planning –Support preparation of feasibility assessments, cost estimates, andtechnical planning inputs for identified tourism projects andinfrastructure interventions. Prepare project profiles.
• Land Bank& Project Profiling –Support land availability assessment, land bank database creation,verification, and preparation of project profiles.
• Site Visits & Field Assessment – Undertake site visits for landverification, product identification, infrastructure planning, andassessment of CZMP/CRZ requirements.
• Stakeholder &Inter-agency Coordination – Coordinate with DoT, districtadministrations, concerned agencies, and private stakeholders to facilitateapprovals and task completion.
• Support,supervise, monitor and facilitate the tasks undertaken by other agencies,consultancy firms, vendors, etc. as suggested by the Client/TL andPM.
• Meetings, MoMs& Follow-ups – Coordinatemeetings, prepare MoMs, and track task follow-ups across the PMU team andwith clients.
• Support onReports & Deliverables –Assist the Team Leader in preparing MPR, QPR, Action Plan, and otherpriority deliverables for DoT submissions. Support the other experts andteam members in executing the tasks being undertaken by them.
• ClientPresentations – Attendclient meetings and prepare presentations for project progress update orapprovals.
• Any other task – Execute any othertask directed by the client or assigned by the Team Leader/Manager.
