Job summary

Tata Projects is seeking a Senior Scheduler to develop and maintain complex project schedules for heavy civil infrastructure. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate progress data, track critical paths, and prepare look-ahead and progress reports.

The role requires expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and Power BI. Responsibilities include forecasting completion, risk mitigation, delay analysis, and recovery planning to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Civil with 5–15 years of experience in heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling and MS Project, delay analysis per SCL, advanced Excel and reporting tools, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Coordinate with project teams to collect, validate, and update progress data.
• Monitor progress against baselines and highlight variances and slips.
• Track critical path activities, milestones and dependencies.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and look-ahead schedules and progress reports.
• Forecast completion dates and identify schedule risks and mitigation measures.
• Perform delay analysis to determine causes and entitlement of delays and recommend actions.
• Develop recovery and acceleration plans to meet milestones.
• Identify bottlenecks and resource constraints affecting progress.
• Prepare schedule dashboards and provide schedule analysis and recommendations in reviews.

Role & responsibilities

• 1. Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project in accordance with the Contractual requirements and project execution strategies and approved methodology.
• 2. Coordinate with project teams to collect, validate, and update progress data.
• 3. Monitor progress against baseline schedules and highlight variances and schedule slippages.
• 4. Track critical path activities, key milestones, and schedule dependencies.
• 5. Prepare weekly, monthly, and look-ahead schedules and progress reports.
• 6. Forecast project completion dates and identify schedule risks and mitigation measures.
• 7. Perform delay analysis to determine the causes, impact, and entitlement related to project delays and recommend corrective actions.
• 8. Develop recovery and acceleration plans to mitigate delays and achieve project milestones.
• 9. Identify bottlenecks, resource constraints, interface issues, and material hold-ups affecting project progress.
• 10. Prepare schedule dashboards, critical activity reports, management presentations, and provide schedule analysis, forecasts, and recommendations during project review meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1. B.Tech in Civil, 5 to 15 Years of Experience in Heavy Civil Infrastructure Projects (Underground Metro, Elevated Metro, PSP, Hydro, Nuclear, Water and road projects)
• 2. Skills: knowledge of Primavera -P6 scheduling /MS Project, Delay analysis as per the SCL, Advanced Excel & Reporting Tools, Power BI.
