Job summary

Seabird Resorts seeks a seasoned Planning Engineer to lead scheduling for premium hotel construction projects in Coorg, Karnataka. Bring 7–15 years of planning and project controls experience, with strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills.

Role focuses on CPM analysis, baseline and look-ahead schedules, progress tracking, and stakeholder coordination with clients, contractors, and consultants.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• 7-15 years of experience in construction planning and project controls.
• Hotel/Hospitality construction project experience is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera, P6/MS Project.
• Develop baseline schedules, target programs, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans.
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule slippages.
• Perform CPM analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and MIS for management.
• Coordinate with PMs, site engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Track EPC activities to achieve milestones.
• Review subcontractor schedules and integrate into master schedule.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
• Conduct delay analysis and support EOT claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera, P6/MS Project.
• Develop baseline schedules, target programs, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify schedule slippages.
• Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and MIS for management.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure timely execution.
• Track engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities to achieve project milestones.
• Review subcontractor schedules and integrate them into the master project schedule.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization and recommend optimization measures.
• Conduct delay analysis, impact assessments, and support extension of time (EOT) claims where applicable.
• Assist in project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and earned value analysis.
• Participate in project review meetings and present planning updates to stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support effective project controls.
• Ensure compliance with contractual milestones, project specifications, and reporting standards.
• Maintain planning documentation, project records, and schedule revisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 715 years of experience in construction planning and project controls.
• Mandatory experience in Hotel/Hospitality construction projects.
• Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Sound understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, and scheduling techniques.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
