Job summary

Skill Univ in Bengaluru is seeking a dynamic placement & partnerships lead to drive end-to-end placement and internship operations for trained students. You will lead employer outreach, opportunity sourcing, candidate coordination, and offer closure, while building strong corporate relationships across India.

You will develop the annual placement calendar, coordinate with HR heads and senior management, and onboard new partners to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end placement and internship operations for trained students, from employer outreach and opportunity sourcing to candidate coordination, selection, and offer closure.
• Develop and monitor the annual placement and internship calendar, ensuring timely execution of hiring drives and achievement of placement targets.
• Build and maintain strong corporate relationships and strategic hiring partnerships with companies across India.
• Identify, approach, negotiate, and onboard new corporate partners to create a consistent pipeline of placement opportunities.
• Manage relationships with HR Heads, Talent Acquisition teams, senior management, and key decision-makers at partner organizations.
• Establish and strengthen college and institutional tie-ups for placement-driven training programs, including negotiation and execution of MOUs and formal agreements.
• Coordinate with college management, placement cells, academic teams, students, and recruiters to ensure seamless execution of placement activities.
• Represent the organization at corporate meetings, campus recruitment drives, job fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand the hiring network.
• Maintain centralized and accurate placement, internship, employer, and student records, including offer letters and recruitment documentation.
• Prepare and present monthly placement MIS, dashboards, and management reports, tracking performance against annual targets.
• Identify centers or programs requiring additional support and implement corrective actions to improve placement outcomes.
• Ensure placement processes are standardized, documented, and aligned with organizational policies across all centers.
• Contribute to positioning the organization as a preferred talent and placement partner for corporates and institutions.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Proven experience in corporate relations, B2B partnerships, business development, placement operations, or talent acquisition coordination.
• Strong track record of building and managing relationships with HR leaders, recruiters, corporate decision-makers, and senior management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, networking, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Hands‑on experience in placement cell operations, campus recruitment, internships, hiring drives, or employability programs.
• Strong ability to develop corporate and institutional tie‑ups, negotiate commercial/operational terms, and close partnerships.
• Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets, MIS reporting, dashboards, and data management; experience with CRM tools will be an advantage.
• Strong target orientation, ownership, follow‑up discipline, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver results within defined timelines.
• Willingness to travel frequently for corporate meetings, college visits, job fairs, and industry networking events.
• A proactive, self‑driven professional with a strong focus on placements, partnerships, and measurable hiring outcomes.
