Job summary

JGC Corporation in Chennai, India is seeking a Piping Layout Designer to lead piping layout work for oil refinery, LNG, and gas processing projects. You will coordinate plot plans with clients and other disciplines, ensuring compliance with codes and project specifications.

The role requires 3D design tool proficiency (Navisworks, S3D/E3D/AP3D) and experience in vendor drawing reviews, nozzle orientation, and platform arrangements for equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and related codes.
• Experience creating plot plans and piping layouts.
• Proficiency in 3D design tools and clash checks.

Responsibilities

• Complete work as Piping Layout Designer for oil refinery, LNG plant, and/or gas processing projects.
• Coordinate plot plan and piping layout with client, other disciplines, and subcontractors.
• Prepare plot plan and piping layout per international codes and project specs.
• Monitor status and schedule for piping layout activities.
• Review vendor drawings and check 3D model deliverables from subcontractors.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Complete the work as a Piping Layout Designer for oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects:

2. PJ coordination in terms of plot plan and piping layout with client, other disciplines, engineering subcontractors etc...

3. Preparing plot plan / piping layout as per relevant international codes and/or project specifications/guidelines

4. Control status and schedule for piping layout activities

5. Review vendors drawing

Check deliverables and/or 3D Model submitted from Engineering Subcontractors

Preferred candidate profile

1. Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other codes and standards such as ASME etc...
2. Preparing plot plan / piping layout
3. Navisworks operation skills.
4. S3D/E3D/AP3D operation skills (for 3D Designer)
5. Vendor document review and commenting
6. Preparing structural loading data for pipe racks, structures, etc.
7. Preparing nozzle orientation, platform arrangement for equipment.
