Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru, India is seeking a skilled piping layout designer to create 3D models of equipment, piping, structures and instrumentation for plant and skid packages. You will produce shop-ready drawings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines.

The role requires adherence to international standards, accurate MTO support, and the ability to review and resolve design issues on fabrication drawings.

Qualifications

• Fabrication drawings must clearly present information to the shop floor.
• Produce common piping deliverables including Isometrics, Piping GA's, Tie-In Details and Plot Plans.
• Undertake MTO duties when necessary and assist with presentation materials.

• Minimize fabrication cost through optimization of pipe and cable tray routing
• Follow international standards and project specifications
• Assure designs are ready for review and comments are correctly resolved
• Produce detailed drawings for both proposal and project

Requirements

• Ensure that fabrication drawings clearly present information to the shop floor
• Produce and ensure quality and consistency of common piping deliverables including; Isometrics, Piping GA's, Tie-In Details and Plot Plans
• Undertake MTO duties when necessary and assists with the preparation of presentation material, such as videos, animation and plant views
• Resolve issues during fabrication, such as physical clashes
• Review drawings produced by others
• Engage in the mark-up of P&IDs

Work Experience

• Understanding of the fundamental process and mechanical

Requirements Of The Company’s Process Packages

• Able to spatially conceptualize and translate ideas into design drawings
• Thorough knowledge of Equipment layout Development, Piping layout design for all types of equipment such as Vessels, Exchangers, Tanks, Pumps, Compressors and Piping MTO
• Familiar with the requirements of Oil & Gas drawings and specifications, including normal symbology and the requirement for consistency
• Understand the data requirements of drawings being produced to facilitate an efficient fabrication process
• Ability to translate technical data into equipment drawings
• Familiarity with fabrication practices
• Engineering Degree – Mechanical or equivalent experience
