Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a D.Pharm or B.Pharm with valid pharmacist registration.
• Experience 0–3 years in a hospital or community pharmacy is preferred.
• Proficiency in dispensing and inventory control processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions before dispensing medicines.
• Dispense prescribed medicines accurately according to physician instructions.
• Check medication names, strengths, dosages, and quantities before issuing medicines.
• Explain medication usage, dosage schedules, storage, and precautions to patients.
• Identify prescription discrepancies and clarify them with the prescribing doctor.
• Maintain adequate stock of medicines and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Monitor medicine expiry dates and remove expired or damaged stock.
• Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines and temperature-sensitive products.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and update stock records regularly.
• Coordinate procurement based on medicine stock requirements.
• Maintain records of medicine purchases, sales, and dispensing activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements.
• Handle controlled and restricted medicines according to legal requirements.
• Support patients with medication-related queries within professional scope.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medicine availability.
• Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or unnecessary overstocking.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of the pharmacy.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly pharmacy reports as required.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow medication safety protocols.
