Job summary

Nityo Infotech on behalf of Cognizant is looking for a Senior Mainframe Storage Administrator to manage and optimize z/OS storage environments across India. The role requires 9–15 years of relevant experience and is offered as a permanent engagement with deployment in client locations.

You will be responsible for DFSMS, LPAR builds, ACS routines, data movement, backups, and advanced copy services, ensuring high reliability and performance of DASD storage infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Extremely familiar with IBM z/OS operating system.
• Knowledge on Parallel Sysplex concepts.
• Experience mainframe LPAR builds.
• Implement DFSMS.
• Develop and maintain ACS routines.
• Support DFSMSdss data movement, dump and restores of DASD volume.
• Implement automatic backup and migration (DFSMShsm).
• Expertise in managing catalogs.
• Implement and support advanced copy services like PPRC, XRC, Flashcopy.
• Installing and configuring additional physical storage.
