Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai seeks a Mainframe zOS/Storage Administrator with 4–6 years hands-on experience to manage z12/z13/z14/z15 hardware, Sysplex and storage, DR readiness, and performance tuning.

The role requires strong knowledge of SMP/E, ISV products, JCL, Tivoli SA, and modern storage subsystems (DS8000, VMAX/PowerMax).

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with z12/z13/z14/z15 Mainframe hardware and Sysplex setups.
• SMP/E, ISV products, UserMods and Exits.
• Mainframe Tools – OMEGAMON, TEPS, Netview, SIEM.
• Assembler, REXX, JCL and CA-OPS/MVS, Tivoli SA Automation.
• Tivoli SA knowledge is very important.
• IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM, capacity planning and performance tuning.
• PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation, memory regions customization and maintenance.
• Experience in disaster recovery setup and DR drills.
• Experience in MIPS optimization, software rationalization.
• Hands-on experience with IBM DS8000, IBM TS7000, EMC-VMAX/PowerMax & DLm hardware.
• IBM-Metro/Global Mirror, Copy Services, EMC-SRDF, EMC-GDDR.
• DFSMS suite, CA-1, IBM CSM.
• Flash Copy, BCV-SnapVX, zDP, Safe Guarded Copy (SGC).
• Setup and management of Mainframe DC storage replication.
• Perform BAU and project-related Mainframe OS/Storage activities.
