Job summary

Webologix Ltd/ INC is seeking a Mainframe Storage Engineer to lead storage operations in Mumbai/Chennai. Require 5+ to 10+ years of hands-on Mainframe Storage experience and deep knowledge of IMSDB, DB2, REXX, and Z/OS.

The role involves supporting 24x7 production environments, performing storage implementation and troubleshooting, and working with z/OS systems teams to optimize I/O performance across multiple datacenters.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 10+ years of hands-on Mainframe Storage experience.
• Strong understanding of Mainframe I/O architecture and performance diagnostics.
• Experience in 24×7 mission-critical and highly regulated production environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise Mainframe Storage environments in 24×7 production operations.
• Perform storage implementation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support.
• Support z/OS I/O architecture, including CHPIDs, control units, paths, FICON, and multipathing.
• Analyze and troubleshoot I/O performance using RMF, SMF, and DCOLLECT.
• Work closely with z/OS Systems Programmers and infrastructure teams.
• Support multi-datacenter, multi-region, and global production environments.
• Participate in technical projects with minimal supervision and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Perform technical reviews and assist with complex storage-related problem resolution.
