Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Kochi/Chennai seeks a seasoned Performance Test Engineer with 10-14 years of hands-on experience. You will design and execute comprehensive performance tests across Web, API, and microservices, using LoadRunner and Locust, and will integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance across Cloud-based applications.

Qualifications

• 10–14 years of experience in performance testing.
• Strong knowledge of LoadRunner and Locust used for scripting and load generation.
• Experience designing workload models based on business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute Load, Stress, Spike, Volume, Endurance, and Scalability tests.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner (VuGen) and Locust (Python).
• Create workload models and test scenarios based on business requirements.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify bottlenecks.
• Monitor server, database, and application performance during tests.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, DevOps, and infra teams to resolve issues.
• Execute tests across Web, API, Microservices, and Cloud apps.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Prepare detailed performance reports with optimization recommendations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for degradations and capacity issues.
• Support performance engineering throughout SDLC.
