Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in Chennai invites a Performance Testing engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience to join our testing team. You will review designs, plan tests, and tune performance across Web, application, and database stacks in a fast-paced agile environment.

Proficiency with JMeter or similar tools, cloud apps testing, monitoring KPIs, and strong communication are essential as you contribute to test strategies and defect management.

Qualifications

• Min of 3 to 4 years experience with performance testing and tuning.
• Review functional design and non-functional requirements and provide recommendations.
• Understand challenges to implement performance testing in agile/Continuous delivery environment.
• Familiar with real-time, user-facing testing methodologies and approaches.
• Familiar with batch or background testing methodologies and approaches.
• Strong experience in cloud apps performance testing.
• Strong understanding of monitoring solutions and KPIs for availability and performance of the technology stacks (Web, Application, Database, Mongo).
• Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, Work Load Design, Test Cases Design, Test Environment Setup, Test Data Setup, Defect Management & Configuration Management.
• In-depth knowledge with Performance Center, JMeter, and other performance testing tools (Open Source tools like Apache JMeter, WebLOAD).
• Generation, bottleneck analysis, modeling tools and statistical analysis.
• Strong problem solving skills and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
