Job summary

Naukri E-hire is seeking an experienced PEB Design Engineer with a strong civil/structural background and STAAD Pro proficiency. You will analyze and design pre-engineered buildings, prepare calculations and reports, develop structural connections, and support proposals and project planning.

The role requires coordination with clients and architects, FEM modelling, BOQ/BOM preparation, tender documentation, and travel as needed. Three years of relevant experience and a B.E.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural design experience in PEB or structural steel sectors.
• B.E. Civil Engineering degree.
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro for analysis and design.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel design, building systems and connections.
• Experience with FEM modelling, design calculations and technical reports.
• Experience in BOQ/BOM preparation, tender docs and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project conceptualisation, feasibility studies, site condition assessments and evaluation of existing structures and site details.
• Coordinate with clients and architects to discuss preliminary drawings and project requirements.
• Analyse and design Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and structural steel systems.
• Perform structural analysis, basic engineering calculations and FEM.
• Prepare structural connections, calculations and technical reports for submission.
• Prepare BOQ/BOM and technical inputs for proposals and quotations.
• Support tender-stage BOQ, bidding activities, tender docs and coordination.
• Review preliminary analysis results and discuss design strategies with senior engineers.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and cost estimates for steel building projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design accuracy and project requirements.
• Travel locally or internationally as required.

The candidate will be responsible for the analysis and design of pre-engineered steel buildings, preparation of design calculations and reports, development of structural connections, and support for technical proposals and project planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in project conceptualisation, feasibility studies, site condition assessments, and evaluation of existing structures and site details.
• Coordinate with clients and architects to discuss preliminary drawings and understand project requirements.
• Analyse and design various types of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and structural steel systems.
• Perform structural analysis, basic engineering calculations, and Finite Element Modelling (FEM).
• Prepare structural connection designs, design calculations, and technical reports for submission.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical inputs for proposals and quotations.
• Support tender-stage BOQ preparation, bidding activities, tender documentation, and related coordination.
• Review preliminary analysis results and discuss design strategies with senior engineers.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and cost estimates for steel building projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and project requirements are met.
• Travel locally or internationally, whenever required by the client or project.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in structural design, preferably in the PEB or structural steel industry.
• B.E. in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design.
• Strong understanding of structural steel design, building systems, and structural connections.
• Knowledge of FEM modelling, design calculations, and preparation of technical reports.
• Experience in BOQ/BOM preparation, tender documentation, and technical proposals.
• Understanding of applicable structural design codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel locally or internationally as required.
