Job summary

Podar Education Network is seeking a Payroll Executive to manage end-to-end payroll for a group of educational institutions at the Corporate Office. The role focuses on salary accuracy, timely disbursement, and statutory compliance across locations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of payroll processing experience, strong MS Excel skills, and familiarity with HRMS/payroll software. MBA HR is preferred, with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-location org.
• Knowledge of statutory payroll compliance and taxation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS/payroll software; HR Mantra is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll including salaries, deductions, reimbursements, incentives, and arrears.
• Manage payroll inputs, attendance, leave records, new joiners, and exits.
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, TDS and other labour laws.
• Prepare payroll reports, salary statements, bank transfer files, and MIS.
• Coordinate with HR and school admins for payroll queries and discrepancies.
• Manage full and final settlements, salary revisions, and payroll records.
• Reconcile payroll data with HRMS and finance records.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of payroll data.
• All other relevant duties assigned from time to time.

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for a group of educational institutions, ensuring salary accuracy, timely disbursement, statutory compliance, and maintenance of employee payroll records.

Key Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll, including salaries, deductions, reimbursements, incentives, and arrears.
• Manage payroll inputs, attendance, leave records, new joiners, and employee exits.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, TDS, and other applicable labour laws.
• Prepare payroll reports, salary statements, bank transfer files, and management MIS.
• Coordinate with HR teams and school administrators for payroll-related queries and discrepancies.
• Manage full and final settlements, salary revisions, and employee payroll records.
• Reconcile payroll data with HRMS and finance records.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee compensation data.
• All other relevant duties assigned from time to time

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA HR is preferred
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-location organization.
• Knowledge of statutory payroll compliance and taxation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS/payroll software; experience with HR Mantra will be an advantage.
