Job summary

• Generates monthly patient safety reports and suggests corrective actions.

Role Purpose

To establish, implement, and monitor patient safety practices across the organization, ensuring a culture of safety, compliance with NABH standards, and continuous reduction of patient safety risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to the organizational patient safety strategy.
• Continuously evaluates and improves the patient safety program based on internal needs and external requirements and standards.
• With appropriate collaboration, directs the development of a comprehensive Patients Safety Plan and updates the plan as needed.
• Conducts an assessment of patient risks and working closely with Quality/ IPSG auditors
• Develops and implements an institutional patient safety measurement strategy based on International Patient Safety Goals and WHO patient safety solution, lessons learned from internal events/incidents.
• Ensures the development of surveillance systems to identify and mitigate potential patient harm.
• Supports/facilitates the implementation of innovation and systems that eliminate patient harm.
• Conduct Patient Safety trainings on regular basis.
• Generate monthly patient safety reports and plan for long term preventive actions, give suggestion to Quality committee based on observation
• Checking compliance with protocols formulated in response to patient safety on regular basis
• Knowledge of NABH standards and patient safety principles.
• Incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
