Qualifications

  • Exposure to government projects, PPPs, or multilateral-funded initiatives desirable.
  • Strong client relationship management and strategic advisory delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategic Growth
  • Drive business development initiatives by identifying and securing strategic consulting opportunities across the energy sector and related industries.
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with government bodies, utilities, project developers, investors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry developments, market trends, and client priorities to uncover growth opportunities in power, renewable energy, utilities, and the energy transition landscape.
  • Develop and implement market expansion strategies to enhance client engagement and business growth.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, professional forums, networking events, and client meetings to strengthen market presence.
Client Advisory & Consulting Delivery
  • Lead complex advisory engagements across diverse areas, including:
    • Power generation and utility sectors
    • Renewable energy and energy transition
    • Energy market assessments and sector reforms
    • Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), transaction advisory, and infrastructure investments
    • ESG and sustainability strategy
    • Corporate finance, business valuations, mergers & acquisitions, privatization, and infrastructure financing within the energy sector
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior executives, government officials, and institutional decision-makers.
  • Direct multidisciplinary consulting teams across multiple projects, sectors, and geographical regions.
  • Oversee the preparation of executive presentations, strategic reports, and high-impact client deliverables.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of analytical outputs, strategic recommendations, and consulting deliverables.
Proposal Development & Commercial Management
  • Lead thought leadership initiatives, develop market insights, and contribute to the growth of the Energy Advisory practice.
  • Manage proposal development for strategic business pursuits, ensuring technically robust and commercially competitive submissions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop integrated technical and commercial solutions.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, subcontractor management, risk assessments, compliance requirements, and proposal submission processes.
Practice Development & Team Leadership
  • Mentor, coach, and develop consultants and project teams to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance, and client-centric work environment.
  • Support practice growth through operational improvements, resource planning, performance management, and capability development initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • MBA from a leading business school or a top-tier management institute.
  • Minimum 15 years of consulting experience within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, or related advisory sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex consulting engagements and driving business development initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in client relationship management and delivering strategic advisory services.
  • Hands-on experience working on renewable energy, power sector reforms, sustainability, decarbonization, or energy transition projects.
  • Exposure to government projects, Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), or multilateral-funded infrastructure programs is highly desirable.
Preferred Competencies
  • Comprehensive understanding of global and regional energy markets, infrastructure policy, sustainability frameworks, and the evolving energy transition landscape.
  • Strong commercial and business development acumen with the ability to identify, shape, and win consulting opportunities.
  • Excellent client management, negotiation, presentation, and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed, multidisciplinary consulting environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing large-scale, high-value client engagements under demanding timelines.
