Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in consulting or industry roles focused on internal controls, process reviews, internal audits, and risk management.
• Experience delivering energy sector engagements, including supplier management, contracts, regulatory compliance, project reviews, ESG reporting, procurement, workforce planning, and operational assessments.
• Strong understanding of global energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and operating models.
• Familiarity with energy transition themes, smart grids, digital energy platforms, IoT/SCADA systems, cyber-physical risks, and emerging sector risks.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and delivering sector-focused solutions for global clients.
• Strong innovation mindset with ability to think creatively and improve delivery approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple risk consulting engagements within the Energy sector, including Internal Audit, Internal Controls, SOX 404 compliance, and business process reviews.
• Supervise engagement teams to ensure high-quality deliverables in line with EY global standards, timelines, and budget expectations.
• Identify control gaps, assess operational and regulatory risks, and develop improvement recommendations aligned with industry best practices and client environments.
• Apply structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approaches to problem solving while delivering audit reports, working papers, and client communications.
• Track engagement progress, manage delivery risks, and ensure timely communication of status updates and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks proactively and Escalate issues as per firm protocols.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and EY global member firms across regions.
• Contribute to business development initiatives including proposals, RFP responses, and sector-focused thought leadership in the Energy domain.
• Support innovation and automation initiatives using GenAI, advanced analytics, and RPA to enhance delivery efficiency and quality.
• Stay updated on energy sector trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks such as energy transition, decarbonization, grid modernization, and EHS regulations, translating insights into actionable solutions.
• Support strategy development for expanding EY GDS presence in the Energy sector and strengthening global account integration.
• Collaborate across service lines to share insights and support business growth initiatives.

Operational Excellence

• Drive improvements in engagement efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Manage engagement budgets while ensuring compliance with EY risk management and quality standards.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and consulting capabilities.
• Experience delivering risk consulting services such as internal audit, internal controls, and business process reviews in the Energy sector.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in GenAI tools, MS Office, and data analytics/validation techniques.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively across stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Prior experience in Big Four or top-tier consulting firms is preferred.
