Job summary

Skillventory in Mumbai is seeking a senior energy advisory expert to lead strategic and commercial assignments across renewable energy and power sectors. The role will involve advising on business strategy, market entry, investments, and portfolio development.

You will lead bid advisory mandates, build and review detailed financial models for energy projects, evaluate project economics, and support transaction advisory. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant experience in energy consulting, renewable energy, infrastructure advisory, project development, investment, project finance, or a related field.

• Support transaction advisory, due diligence, feasibility assessment, and investment decision-making.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
• Contribute to thought leadership, market intelligence, and development of new advisory offerings.

Preferred candidate profile

15 years of relevant experience in energy consulting, renewable energy, infrastructure advisory, project development, investment, project finance, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of the renewable energy and power-sector ecosystem.
• Demonstrated experience in bid advisory, strategic advisory, commercial advisory, or transaction-related assignments.
• Strong financial modelling skills, including project economics, cash-flow modelling, valuation, tariff analysis, returns analysis, and scenario/sensitivity analysis.
• Experience with renewable energy, battery storage, hybrid projects, or other energy-transition technologies.
• Energy modelling, power-market modelling, demand forecasting, generation-dispatch modelling, or related analytical experience would be highly desirable.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into clear commercial recommendations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management, team-leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Experience in using machine learning tools and python for energy modelling is preferable.
