Job summary

Expleo Group is seeking an experienced engineer to design and convert engines for CNG and bifuel applications in Chennai. You will review RFQs, analyze engine systems, and apply materials and fuel knowledge to optimize performance.

The role requires 3-5 years in CNG-related work, strong communication, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams in a global organization.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in CNG systems.
• BE in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with knowledge of automobile parts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engine parts per guidelines.
• Convert monofuel engines to bifuel (gasoline + CNG).
• Prepare RFQs and review technical proposals for CNG-specific parts.
• Analyze IC engine systems for CNG conversion and assess bifuel compatibility.
• Apply knowledge of materials, fuel properties, and their impact on engine performance.

Responsibilities

3-5 years of relevant experience (CNG System preferred)

PRIMARY SKILLS:

• Design and develop engine parts per guidelines.
• Convert monofuel (gasoline) engines to bifuel (gasoline + CNG).
• Prepare RFQs and review technical proposals for CNG-specific parts.
• Analyze IC engine systems for CNG conversion and recommend OCT for bifuel compatibility.
• Apply knowledge of materials, fuel properties, and their impact on engine performance for mono/bifuel solutions.

Secondary skill

1. Understand tuning, performance, and electrical systems at vehicle level and their influence on part design.
2. Conduct technical meetings with stakeholders to converge proposals into design outputs.
3. Initiate and manage ANPQP procedures for first industrialization.
4. Apply FTA, risk analysis, and mitigation planning at part/system level.
5. Present clear technical proposals with supporting data to management.
