Job summary

Haritash Mobility is seeking a skilled Automotive Paint Technician to perform painting, surface preparation and colour matching per OEM standards. You will ensure high-quality finishes, minimize rework, and maintain spray equipment and workplace safety.

The role demands hands-on experience with modern paint systems, spray guns, and paint booth operations, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and defect minimization. Join our After Sales team to support seamless vehicle refurbishment.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical or Automotive Painting preferred.
• 4-5 years as Automotive Paint Technician in a dealership/bodyshop.
• Strong hands-on experience in automotive painting and colour matching.
• Knowledge of modern paint systems, spray guns and paint booth operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect repaired body panels and prepare surfaces for painting.
• Perform sanding, masking, filling, priming and surface preparation.
• Mix and prepare paints, primers, hardeners and other materials as per required specifications.
• Perform accurate colour matching and paint application.
• Operate spray guns, paint booths and other painting equipment safely.
• Apply base coat, clear coat and finishing coats as required.
• Ensure proper paint thickness, coverage, texture and gloss.
• Identify and rectify paint defects such as runs, orange peel, dust particles, shade mismatch and uneven finish.
• Carry out polishing and finishing after paint curing.
• Coordinate with Denting Technicians, Job Controller and Final Inspector.
• Report additional repair or paint requirements to the supervisor.

Job Purpose

To carry out vehicle painting, surface preparation, colour matching and finishing as per OEM standards, ensuring a high-quality paint finish, accurate colour match and minimum rework.

Key Responsibilities

• Minimize paint wastage, rework and repeat repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the paint booth and work area.
