Job summary

ACCIONA & Nordex Green Hydrogen seeks an Automotive Painter for its Chennai site. The role covers preparing and painting vehicle components, color matching, and ensuring finishes meet quality and safety standards.

You will work closely with production and maintenance teams to adhere to schedules and environmental health guidelines. Candidates should have strong automotive painting skills, familiar with PPE and ventilation safety, and be able to work long hours in a paint booth.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in automotive surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
• Proficiency in spray painting techniques, paint mixing, color matching, and topcoat application.
• Ability to inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform rework.
• Knowledge of PPE, ventilation, and hazardous materials safety.
• Experience in automotive/industrial paint shop environment is beneficial.
• Understanding of production workflows and following SOPs.
• Good communication and teamwork with technicians and supervisors.
• Physical ability to stand long periods and work in paint booths.
• Vocational training/certification in automotive painting is an advantage.

Role Description The Automotive Painter will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicle components, including surface cleaning, sanding, masking, priming, and applying topcoats to meet quality and safety standards. Daily tasks include color matching, mixing paint, operating spray equipment, and inspecting finishes for defects, followed by necessary touch‑ups and polishing. The role involves working closely with production and maintenance teams to meet schedules, maintain tools and painting booths, and follow environmental, health, and safety procedures. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Chennai, requiring consistent adherence to workplace safety protocols and company quality guidelines.
