Responsibilities include using packing equipment, maintaining inventory, and following customer-specific standards. The ideal candidate has experience in heavy equipment packing and a strong focus on quality and safety.

• Ability to understand and follow detailed packing instructions and customer specs.
• Experience with corrosion protection packing (VCI, oil coating) and protective wrapping.

Job Purpose

To ensure safe, accurate, and damage-free packing of finished casting and forging heavy products in accordance with customer specifications and dispatch requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify product quantity, identification, and inspection status before packing.

• Ensure components are clean and free from damage prior to packing.

• Pack finished goods using approved materials such as wooden pallets, crates, boxes, and protective wrapping.

• Apply corrosion protection materials, including VCI paper, oil coating, and plastic wrapping, as required.

• Ensure proper segregation and labeling of parts according to customer specifications.

• Attach identification tags, barcodes, and shipping labels accurately.

• Secure packed materials using strapping, shrink wrapping, or banding to prevent damage during transit.

• Follow packing instructions and customer-specific packaging standards.

• Maintain packing material inventory and report shortages to the supervisor.

• Operate packing equipment, including strapping machines, pallet trucks, and wrapping machines, safely.

• Maintain housekeeping and ensure safe stacking of packed goods in the dispatch area.

• Report discrepancies, damages, or non-conforming materials to the supervisor immediately.

• Follow safety procedures while handling heavy components and packing tools.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in packing operations within a similar facility or the heavy equipment industry.

• Ability to understand and follow work instructions for packing operations.

• Ability to safely and properly use packing tools and equipment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
