Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Surat is seeking a logistics and packaging coordinator to oversee packing operations, dispatch planning, and warehouse activities, ensuring finished goods are packed correctly, labeled properly, and dispatched on schedule.

You will coordinate with transporters, maintain stock accuracy, apply FIFO, and drive process improvements with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance in a dynamic distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging and dispatch operations.
• Knowledge of ISO/EHS regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily packing activities per dispatch schedule.
• Coordinate with transporters for timely vehicle placement.
• Prepare dispatch documents per guidelines and ensure on-time dispatch.
• Maintain stock accuracy and implement FIFO.
• Ensure compliance with packaging standards and safety norms.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities in packaging and transport.
• Collaborate with PMG, PPC, Production, Stores, and Quality departments.
• Support digitization initiatives (WMS, barcode systems).

Job Description :To ensure efficient packaging, handling, storage, and dispatch of finished goods while maintaining product safety, quality standards, and on-time delivery commitments.Key Responsibilities :

• Packing OperationsPlan and supervise daily packing activities as per dispatch scheduleEnsure correct packaging standards, labeling, photography and documentationOptimize packaging materials to minimize cost and damageMonitor packing productivity and reduce wastageHandling dispatch planning for high-volume & heavy components
• Dispatch & Logistics CoordinationCoordinate with transporters for timely vehicle placementPrepare dispatch documents as per organization guidelinesEnsure timely dispatch as per customer delivery schedulesTrack shipments and update stakeholders on delivery status
