Job summary

DS Group is seeking a skilled packaging operator to supervise primary and secondary pharmaceutical packing, pouch filling, sealing, coding and online inspection.

The role requires B.Pharm, familiarity with GMP and SOPs, and willingness to work in shifts; immediate joiners preferred. Candidates will coordinate with QA/QC and Production and maintain GMP documentation.

Qualifications

• B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
• Experience in pharmaceutical packing/production preferred.
• Good knowledge of GMP, SOPs and pharmaceutical documentation.
• Practical knowledge of primary and secondary packing.

Responsibilities

• Handle and supervise primary and secondary pharmaceutical packing operations.
• Manage pouch packing operations including filling, sealing, coding and online inspection.
• Ensure packing activities follow SOPs, BMR/BPR and packing specifications.
• Perform line clearance before starting packing operations.
• Verify packing materials and product details during packing.
• Monitor batch coding, MFG/EXP, MRP and other printed information.
• Perform in-process checks during packing.
• Maintain packing records, machine logbooks and GMP documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Production, Warehouse and Engineering departments.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety and hygiene requirements.
• Report deviations, defects, breakdowns and other packing-related issues.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the packing area.

• Perform and document line clearance before starting packing operations.


• Verify packing materials and product details before and during packing.


• Monitor batch coding, MFG/EXP, MRP and other required printed information.


• Perform in-process checks during packing.


• Maintain proper packing material and finished-product reconciliation.


• Monitor packing yield, wastage and rejection.


• Maintain packing records, machine logbooks and other GMP documentation.


• Coordinate with QA/QC, Production, Warehouse and Engineering departments.


• Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety and hygiene requirements.


• Report deviations, defects, breakdowns and other packing-related issues.


• Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the packing area.

Required Knowledge

Primary Packing:

Pouch Packing, Filling, Sealing, Coding, In-process Checks, Line Clearance, Packing Material Verification and Reconciliation.

Secondary Packing:

Cartoning, Labeling, Batch Coding, Shipper Packing, Product Counting, Reconciliation and Final Packing Inspection.

Candidate Profile

• B.Pharm from a recognized institution.


• Experience in pharmaceutical packing/production preferred.


• Good knowledge of GMP, SOPs and pharmaceutical documentation.


• Practical knowledge of primary and secondary packing.


• Good communication and coordination skills.


• Willingness to work in shifts, if required.


• Immediate joiners / candidates with short notice period preferred.
