Job summary

Zydus Lifesciences in Ahmedabad is seeking a production supervisor to oversee filling and packing on ointment, cream, shampoo and suppository lines.

You will ensure targets are met, maintain cGMP and safety, manage line clearance, batch documentation and shift activities, and coordinate with QA, Engineering and Warehouse.

Candidates should have 2–8 years in pharmaceutical filling/packing, be capable of shift work, and demonstrate leadership and troubleshooting skills.

Role & Responsibilities

• Supervise filling and packing operations for Ointment, Shampoo & Suppository lines.
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per plan.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, GDP, and safety requirements.
• Handle line clearance, batch documentation, and shift activities.
• Monitor machine performance, productivity, rejection, and yield.
• Coordinate with QA, Engineering, Warehouse, and Production teams.
• Manage operators and contract workforce on the shop floor.
• Support deviation investigation, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm
• 2-8 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Filling & Packing Operations.
• Experience in Ointment, Cream, Shampoo, Lotion, or Suppository formulations preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong team handling and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
