Job summary

Intas is seeking an experienced Operator to operate and monitor OSD packing lines at our Ahmedabad plant. The role focuses on efficient, compliant packing of blister, bottle, and carton packs.

You will perform line clearances, document production records, and coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, and Production to ensure smooth batch execution. Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, SOPs, and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues, along with good teamwork and communication, are essential.

Qualifications

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc / Diploma in Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Experience: Operator 1–5 yrs in OSD packing; Officer 2–6 yrs in packing.
• Familiar with cGMP, GDP, SOPs and pharmaceutical packing processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor OSD packing machines (blister, bottle, carton, labeling).
• Perform line clearance per SOP.
• Ensure packing per BMR/BPR and cGMP.
• Conduct in-process checks and maintain production records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC/Warehouse/Production for batch execution.
• Monitor machine performance and report breakdowns/deviations.
• Reconcile packing materials and finished goods.
• Maintain cleanliness of packing area.
• Follow safety, GMP, and company policies.
• Support validation, qualification, and audits as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor OSD packing machines such as blister packing, bottle packing, carton packing, and labeling machines.
• Perform line clearance before and after batch activities as per SOP.
• Ensure packing activities are carried out according to BMR/BPR and cGMP requirements.
• Conduct in-process checks and maintain production records accurately.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, and Production teams for smooth batch execution.
• Monitor machine performance and report breakdowns or deviations to supervisors.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of packing materials and finished goods.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the packing area.
• Follow safety procedures, GMP guidelines, and company policies.
• Support validation, qualification, and audit activities as required.

Educational Qualification

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc / Diploma in Pharmacy or relevant qualification.

Experience

• Operator: 01 to 05 years of experience in OSD packing operations.
• Officer / Senior Officer : 02 to 06 years of experience in OSD packing within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, SOPs, and pharmaceutical packing processes.
• Experience handling blister, bottle packing, and serialization systems.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
