Jr Officer - Primary Packing - Secondary Packing - QMS

The Jr. Officer – Primary Packing / Secondary Packing / QMS will support pharmaceutical packing operations by assisting in line clearance, batch documentation, packing material verification, and QMS compliance. The requires strong attention to detail, basic knowledge of GMP guidelines, and the ability to coordinate with production, QA, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and compliant packing activities in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist in primary and secondary packing activities as per production plans and approved SOPs.
• Support packing line setup, equipment readiness, and area cleanliness before batch operations.
• Check availability and correctness of packing materials before starting packing activities.
• Help in maintaining batch packing records, logbooks, and other production-related documents.
• Follow GMP, hygiene, safety, and documentation practices during all packing processes.
• Coordinate with QA for line clearance, in-process inspection, and packing activity approvals.
• Support reconciliation of printed packing materials, labels, cartons, and other components.
• Monitor packing operators and ensure work is performed as per defined procedures.
• Report packing defects, machine issues, material shortages, or process deviations to seniors.
• Assist in QMS activities such as deviation entry, CAPA follow-up, and documentation support.
• Ensure proper segregation and labeling of approved, rejected, and hold materials.
• Participate in SOP training, GMP training, and departmental compliance programs.
• Maintain discipline and cleanliness in the packing area throughout operations.
• Support senior officers in productivity tracking and daily shift reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities in packing efficiency and quality compliance.
