Job summary

Nestle in Gurugram is seeking a Packaging Specialist on a 12-month contract to drive packaging material development, vendor onboarding, trials, and supply continuity. You will coordinate with Technical, AG, Quality, Brands, SCM, and external suppliers to ensure timely execution and smooth vendor onboarding.

You will lead packaging trials, validate materials, and collaborate with QA and AG to resolve issues and implement improvements, while supporting SOP development for supply planning and NPD

Qualifications

• Educational background in Packaging Technology or Packaging Engineering.
• Experience in packaging materials, vendor development, trials, and supply chain collaboration.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive and track packaging material projects with regular status updates.
• Coordinate with Technical, Print Packaging, AG, Brands, SCM, Quality, and vendors for timely execution.
• Support packaging material trials and vendor onboarding.
• Provide technical inputs during trials and identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Evaluate trial results with AG and Quality and implement improvements.
• Coordinate and support new vendor qualification and onboarding activities.
• Facilitate vendor audits and close audit observations with Quality and suppliers.
• Support development and implementation of supply planning SOPs for packaging materials.
• Partner with SCM to ensure uninterrupted supply planning for new vendors and NPD launches.
• Monitor milestones, risks, timelines, and stakeholder communication for successful delivery.
• Maintain project documentation, trial reports, audit records, and vendor qualification documents.

Position Purpose

Support packaging material development, vendor onboarding, supply continuity, and project execution by coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders including Technical, Print Packaging, AG, Quality, SCM, Vendors, and Brand teams. The role will ensure timely project updates, successful packaging trials, audit compliance, and smooth introduction of new vendors and packaging materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and track packaging material projects, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Technical, Print Packaging, AG, Brands, SCM, Quality, and vendors to ensure timely project execution.
• Support packaging material trials and validation activities for new vendor onboarding.
• Provide technical inputs during packaging trials and identify root causes, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with AG and Quality teams to evaluate trial results and implement improvements.
• Coordinate and support new vendor qualification and onboarding activities.
• Facilitate vendor audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations through collaboration with Quality and suppliers.
• Support development and implementation of supply planning SOPs for packaging materials.
• Partner with SCM teams to ensure uninterrupted supply planning for new vendors, promotional activities, and NPD (New Product Development) launches.
• Monitor project milestones, risks, timelines, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain project documentation, trial reports, audit records, and vendor qualification documents.

• Educational background in Packaging Technology, Packaging Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in packaging materials, vendor development, packaging trials, and supply chain collaboration.
