Job summary

MESO PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a seasoned Manager for Packaging Development in Beauty & Personal Care to lead end‑to‑end packaging across skincare, haircare, body care, and fragrance. The role requires hands‑on leadership and ownership of projects from brief to production, collaborating with R&D, Production, Quality, Procurement, Design and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of primary, secondary and transit packaging for new products and existing ranges.
• Recommend pack formats, materials, components and finishes balancing product performance, brand, feasibility and cost.
• Own packaging specifications, testing plans, supplier sampling, approvals and production trials.
• Resolve recurring issues such as leakage, component defects, transit damage, line inefficiencies and pack incompatibility.
• Develop capable suppliers and lead packaging improvement and cost‑optimisation projects.
• Guide the team and establish consistent standards for documentation, approvals and change control.
• Support packaging development for products intended for multiple export markets.

Manager – Packaging Development | Beauty & Personal Care

We are a growing Indian beauty and personal-care manufacturer serving domestic and export markets. We are looking for an experienced packaging professional to lead the development and improvement of packaging across skincare, haircare, body care and fragrance.

This is a hands‑on leadership role. You will own packaging projects from brief to commercial production, make sound technical decisions, and work closely with R&D, Production, Quality, Procurement, Design and suppliers.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Lead the development of primary, secondary and transit packaging for new products and existing ranges.
• Recommend pack formats, materials, components and finishes that balance product performance, brand presentation, manufacturing feasibility and cost.
• Own packaging specifications, testing plans, supplier sampling, approvals and production trials.
• Resolve recurring issues such as leakage, component defects, transit damage, line inefficiencies and pack incompatibility.
• Develop capable suppliers and lead packaging improvement and cost‑optimisation projects.
• Guide the team and establish consistent standards for documentation, approvals and change control.
• Support packaging development for products intended for multiple export markets.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with substantial packaging development experience in beauty and personal care, cosmetics, fragrance or a closely related FMCG category.
• Strong working knowledge of bottles, tubes, jars, pumps, closures, labels, cartons and shipping packs, including materials, decoration and printing processes.
• Proven experience taking packaging from concept through trials to successful commercial production.
• The ability to lead cross‑functional decisions, work closely with factory teams and solve technical problems at their source.
• Fragrance packaging and export‑market experience would be valuable.
