Job summary

Segula Technologies seeks an experienced Packaging Engineer to design and implement expendable packaging solutions for production materials and parts in an automotive/industrial setting. You will evaluate size, weight, fragility, and handling needs to optimize packaging for transport and warehousing.

Collaboration with Tier-1 suppliers and involvement in product launches are key parts of the role. You will conduct packaging validation, simulations, and line-side evaluations, ensuring readiness

Qualifications

• 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience supporting manufacturing industrialization and production launches.
• Hands-on experience with expendable packaging development.
• Experience working with Tier-1 suppliers and supplier packaging approvals.
• Knowledge of returnable packaging systems is an advantage.
• Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, and material flow optimization.
• Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier experience preferred.
• 2D/3D design to develop expendable packaging solutions for production materials and parts.
• Evaluate packaging characteristics to determine effective solutions.
• Develop concepts maximizing protection and efficiency.
• Conduct packaging validation trials, transportation simulations, and line-side evaluations.
• Collaborate with suppliers during new product launches to ensure packaging readiness and compliance.
• Support engineering change activities requiring packaging modifications.
