Job summary

Segula Technologies India in Chennai seeks a Packaging Engineer to lead packaging design for new project parts and coordinate with global customers, suppliers and internal teams. You will create and maintain packaging data, run trials, and drive continuous improvements to reduce damage and costs.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience and a Bachelor's degree. You will work with logistics, quality, purchasing, and production to ensure packaging readiness for launches

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree is required.
• At least 5 years of experience at a senior level.
• Experience in design engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop packaging solutions for new project parts and ensure timely implementation.
• Coordinate with global customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on packaging requirements.
• Create and maintain packaging data, specifications, and system updates.
• Conduct packaging trials, validations, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure packaging readiness to support project launches and production requirements.
• Monitor packaging performance and initiate continuous improvement activities to reduce damage, waste, and transportation costs.
• Prepare and update packaging drawings, standards, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Support customer packaging improvements ideas and address packaging-related concerns through corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with logistics, quality, purchasing, and production teams to resolve packaging issues and ensure smooth material flow.
• Supplier management / MIS reports .
