Job summary

edept Ventures Private Limited is seeking a proactive Study Abroad Counsellor to guide students and parents through overseas education journeys for our International Pathway Programs. You will counsel via phone, video calls, and other virtual platforms, assess goals, and recommend suitable pathways, universities, and destinations.

You will manage the complete student journey from enquiry to enrolment, drive lead generation through fairs and school outreach, and support channel partner

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in Study Abroad Counselling or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year stability in current or previous organization.
• Strong counselling, sales, and relationship management.
• Excellent verbal and written English and Hindi.
• Willingness to travel locally for events.
• Graduation in any discipline.

Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students and parents via calls, Meet, and virtual sessions.
• Assess academic goals, background, and finances to recommend pathways.
• Guide on destinations, universities, courses, scholarships, admissions, and visas.
• Manage lifecycle from enquiry to enrolment and revenue targets.
• Build relationships to maximize conversions.
• Participate in education fairs and outreach events.
• Coordinate with admissions and operations for a smooth journey.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and result-oriented Study Abroad Counsellor to guide students and parents through their overseas education journey for our International Pathway Programs.

The role involves counselling prospective students and parents via phone calls, Google Meet, and other virtual platforms to understand their academic goals and recommend suitable pathway programs, universities, and study destinations. The counsellor will manage the complete student journey from enquiry to enrolment while actively contributing to lead generation through education fairs, school and college outreach, and channel partner engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students and parents through phone calls, Google Meet, and other virtual counselling sessions.
• Understand students' academic background, career aspirations, and financial considerations to recommend suitable International Pathway Programs.
• Guide students on study destinations, universities, courses, eligibility criteria, scholarships, admissions, and visa processes.
• Manage the complete student lifecycle from enquiry to enrolment and admission.
• Build strong relationships with students and parents to maximize enquiry-to-enrolment conversions.
• Achieve monthly counselling, admission, and revenue targets.
• Participate in education fairs, seminars, career guidance events, and other promotional activities to generate quality leads.
• Conduct outreach visits to schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and partner organizations for lead generation and brand awareness.
• Develop, manage, and expand relationships with education consultants, channel partners, schools, and colleges to generate qualified student referrals.
• Maintain accurate counselling records, follow-ups, CRM updates, and student documentation.
• Coordinate with internal admissions and operations teams to ensure a seamless student experience.

Skills & Experience

Must Have

• 2–4 years of experience in Study Abroad Counselling, Overseas Education, EdTech Counselling, or Education Sales.
• Minimum 1 year of stability in the current or previous organization.
• Strong counselling, sales, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Comfortable conducting counselling through phone calls and virtual meetings.
• Ability to achieve counselling, admission, and revenue targets.
• Willingness to travel locally for education fairs, school and college outreach activities, and partner meetings.
• Graduation in any discipline.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of multiple international study destinations such as the USA, Germany, Australia, the UK, Canada, or Europe.
• Existing network of education consultants, channel partners, schools, colleges, or coaching institutes.
• Experience using CRM platforms and student counselling tools.
