Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, invites applications for a Warehouse Operations Specialist to ensure smooth material flow, accurate inventory, and compliant handling according to FIFO/FEFO and ISO standards.

The role collaborates with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Logistics to coordinate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of materials, while maintaining 5S and EHS compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level qualification in mechanical or related field with warehouse focus.
• 3–4 years experience in warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Familiarity with SAP MM / Warehouse Management System.
• Strong MIS reporting, data analysis and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure smooth material flow.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through daily stock verification and cycle counting.
• Ensure proper receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of materials.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO principles and maintain inventory traceability.
• Process warehouse transactions in SAP MM / WMS accurately.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly warehouse MIS reports.
• Verify customer orders and coordinate dispatch as per schedule.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Logistics teams.
• Maintain 5S standards and safe material handling per EHS requirements.
• Supervise contract labour and optimize manpower utilization.

Key Responsibilities & Job Content

• Coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure smooth material flow.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through daily stock verification and cycle counting.
• Ensure proper receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of materials.

• Process warehouse transactions accurately in SAP (MM/WMS).
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly warehouse MIS reports.
• Verify customer orders and coordinate dispatch as per delivery schedule.
• Monitor material picking and ensure correct material is dispatched.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Logistics teams.
• Ensure timely GRN, stock posting and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain warehouse layout, storage locations and material identification.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs, ISO procedures and company policies.
• Maintain 5S standards and good housekeeping within the warehouse.
• Ensure safe material handling practices and compliance with EHS requirements.
• Supervise contract labour and optimize manpower utilization.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining required records.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse productivity and efficiency.

Professional Skills – Essential Minimum

3 to 4 year Experience with Qualification : Any bachelor's degree in mechanical / postgraduates in Any Warehouse Operations Management Inventory Control & Stock Reconciliation SAP MM / Warehouse Management System Material Handling & Storage FIFO / FEFO Management MIS Reporting & Data Analysis Documentation & Record Management Warehouse Safety & 5S Knowledge of Import / Export Documentation MS Excel & Computer Applications
