Job summary

Birlasoft Ltd. seeks an experienced Oracle HCM Functional Consultant with strong Cloud HCM Core HR and Absence Management expertise. You will gather requirements, design functional solutions, configure modules, and support testing and deployment while engaging business stakeholders.

You will also evaluate Oracle HCM AI capabilities, identify automation opportunities, and drive AI-enabled HR processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and healthy stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oracle HCM Cloud functional domain with focus on Core HR and Absence Management.
• End-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementation experience.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate into functional design and configurations.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional requirements gathering and analysis for Oracle Cloud HCM implementations.
• Configure and support Absence Management including types, plans, rules and approvals.
• Configure Core HR components such as Legal Employers, Business Units, Departments and Jobs.
• Prepare functional design documents, configuration workbooks and test scenarios.
• Support unit testing, SIT/UAT and defect resolution with business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, reports and data migration.
• Provide production support and ensure SLAs are met.
• Explore AI-enabled HCM capabilities and identify automation opportunities.

Job Summary

Birlasoft is looking for an experienced Oracle HCM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud HCM – Core HR and Absence Management, along with an understanding of Oracle HCM AI capabilities.

The consultant will be responsible for understanding business requirements, designing functional solutions, configuring Oracle HCM modules, supporting testing and deployment, and working with business stakeholders to deliver scalable HCM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data validation and troubleshooting across Core HR and Absence processes.
• Participate in workshops and provide functional guidance to business stakeholders.
• Provide production support and resolve functional issues within agreed SLAs.

Oracle HCM AI Responsibilities

• Understand and evaluate Oracle Cloud HCM AI capabilities and identify opportunities for automation and improved employee experience.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify suitable AI use cases across HR processes.
• Exposure to Oracle HCM AI Agents / Generative AI / AI-assisted HR processes will be preferred.
• Support implementation and functional validation of AI-enabled HCM features.
• Understand how AI can be leveraged for areas such as:
• Employee self-service
• HR knowledge assistance
• Talent and workforce insights
• Collaborate with technical/integration teams to understand AI, APIs and data requirements.
• Ensure AI-enabled solutions align with business processes, data security and HR governance requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Functional.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core HR and Absence Management.
• At least one end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementation.
• Strong understanding of Oracle HCM enterprise and workforce structures.
• Experience with Absence Plans, Absence Types, Eligibility Profiles and Accrual Rules.
• Good understanding of Fast Formula.
• Experience in requirement gathering, configuration, testing and production support.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Oracle HCM AI / AI Agents / Generative AI.
• Knowledge of Oracle Redwood UX and HCM Redwood features.
• Exposure to Oracle HCM integrations and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of HDL/HSDL and data migration.
• Exposure to OTBI/BIP reporting.
• Experience working with global HR processes and multi-country implementations.
• Oracle HCM Cloud certification will be an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, HR, Business Administration or a related discipline.
