Job summary

Wipro is hiring an Oracle Administrator in Chennai to manage Oracle 12c/19c environments, handle installation, configuration, Data Guard, RMAN backups, and patching. The role requires proficiency with Data Pump, EM, and RAC clusters, with 3–5 years of relevant experience.

The candidate will monitor log shipping, resolve alerts, and coordinate with Oracle Support for complex incidents, ensuring high availability and performance across databases.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as Oracle Database Administrator
• Good knowledge of Oracle DB 12c/19c architecture concepts
• Experience with installation and configuration of Oracle databases
• Experience with Data Pump, RMAN, RAC and patching concepts
• Experience with Data Guard/Active Data Guard and standby databases
• Monitoring archive log sync and EM alerts; root-cause analysis

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and manage Oracle databases
• Manage Data Guard environments and standby databases
• Perform RMAN backups/restores and Data Pump operations
• Apply CPU/PSU/patch sets and monitor EM alerts
• Troubleshoot database performance and coordinate with Oracle support

Oracle Admin

Roles and Responsibility

Good knowledge of Oracle database 12c,19c architecture concepts

Installation and configuration of Oracle and creation of databases.

Knowledge of working on Oracle reports on AWR, ASH and ADDM tools in identifying and fine tuning database and instance level.

Oracle Data guard implementation and administration with Active Data guard concepts

Configuring Physical Standby databases and ensuring the synchronization between Primary and Standby databases,

Monitoring and maintaining the archive log sync status of Standby Verses Primary servers.

Experience on DATAPUMP Utility, Also Schema Refresh activity

Experience on RAC Environement, Handling on Clusters and Services concepts.

Experience on RMAN Backup and restoration concepts

Knowledge in Applying CPU/PSU and Patch Set for Oracle databases,

Resolving the alerts generating from the Oracle Enterprise Manager and analyzing the root cause of the issue.

Trouble shooting database issues & Coordinating with Oracle support if necessary

Mandatory Skills: Oracle Database Admin .
