Perydot in Noida invites an experienced Oracle Database Administrator L2 to join our IT operations team. You will manage day-to-day database administration, monitor performance, handle backups, and ensure high availability in Linux/Unix environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Expert knowledge in Oracle database technology stack
• Oracle Database Operations: Manage day-to-day Oracle database administration activities including monitoring, user management, tablespace management, backup validation and routine health checks.
• RAC/ASM Support: Support Oracle RAC and ASM environments, monitor cluster/database availability, troubleshoot node/service issues and coordinate escalations as required.
• Backup Recovery: Execute and monitor RMAN backup and restore activities as per defined policies, retention requirements, SLA and disaster recovery expectations.
• Data Guard DR Support: Monitor Data Guard replication, standby database status, archive log gap and support DR readiness/recovery validation activities.
• Incident Problem Management: Coordinate remediation of incident tickets, perform basic root cause analysis, implement corrective actions and escalat complex issues to L3/SME teams.
• Patching Change Support: Support database patching, minor upgrades, change implementation, pre-checks, post-checks and rollback coordination as per approved change process.
• Performance Capacity Monitoring: Monitor database performance, space growth, alert logs, wait events and capacity trends; highlight risks and recommendations to senior DBA/team lead.
• GoldenGate/SuperCluster Support: Perform L2 monitoring and operational support for Oracle GoldenGate and SuperCluster/Exadata environments under L3/SME guidance.
• Documentation Compliance: Maintain SOPs, operational checklists, backup evidence, activity records and audit-support documentation for database tower operations.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration on Linux/Unix platforms.
• Working knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN backup/recovery and performance troubleshooting.
• Operational exposure to Oracle SuperCluster/Exadata and GoldenGate monitoring/support activities.
• Knowledge of database patching, upgrades, migrations, incident/change/problem management and SLA-driven operations.
• Experience with OEM/monitoring tools, shell scripting, capacity reporting and customer-facing documentation.
