Job summary

Procain Consulting & Services is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator in Bangalore to join a rotational 24/7 shift. You will handle Oracle DB 11g/12c/19c, perform DBA tasks, and work with AWS environments.

Strong English communication and proactive learning are essential. Responsibilities include user management, alert handling with OEM, backup/restores using RMAN, and generating performance reports like AWR/ASH.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of Oracle DBA experience.
• Proficient in Oracle 11g/12c/19c.
• Experience with RMAN, expdp/impdp and database refresh.

Responsibilities

• User management: create, drop, modify users.
• Alert management: monitor and mitigate alerts using tools like OEM.
• DBA operations: stop/start database (RAC and standalone); tablespace and disk group management.
• Backup and restore: RMAN, expdp/impdp; perform database refresh.
• Generate and analyze database reports (AWR, ASH).
• Handle incidents, problems and changes per SLAs; communicate with stakeholders.

Work Mode: WFO

Experience: 2 to 4 years

Qualification: Diploma (ECE)/B. tech/BE/BCA/MCA/B. sc/M. tech/ME

Job Profile:

Oracle Database - 11g, 12c,19c

• User management- create, drop, modify user
• Alert management-checking and mitigating alerts using tools like OEM
• Database administration- stop, start the database (RAC and standalone), working with sessions and tablespace management, disk groups.
• Database backup and Restore -backup and restore using RMAN, expdp/impdp. database refresh
• Database reports - generation and analysis of database reports like AWR, ASH etc

General Responsibilities -

• Incident, problem and change management as per agreed SLAs
• Internal and external communication

Technical Skills:

• Database Administration - Oracle and MS SQL Server
• OS Administration - Linux (RHEL)
• *** Working experience at AWS environment is a big plus
