Job summary

Cynosure Corporate Solutions in Chennai seeks an experienced Oracle DBA to manage large enterprise databases, ensure high availability, security, and peak performance.

You will oversee development, testing and production environments, implement RMAN backups, RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and cloud integrations using AWS/Azure Oracle services. Strong PL/SQL scripting and Linux/Unix skills are essential, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Oracle 12c, 18c, 19c (or later).
• Proficient in RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate; RMAN backups.
• Experience with OEM, PL/SQL, shell scripting, and automation tools.
• Linux/Unix administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and tools.
• Manage multiple Oracle database instances across development, testing, and production environments.
• Monitor database performance, implement optimizations, and perform capacity planning.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensure high availability (HA) and data integrity through clustering, replication, and other HA solutions.

• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Maintain documentation related to database architecture, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
  
• Expertise in Oracle 12c, 18c, 19c (or later versions).
  
• Strong experience in performance tuning, SQL query optimization, and indexing.
  
• Proficiency in Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
  
• Experience with RMAN (Recovery Manager) for backups and restoration.
  
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.
  
• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, shell scripting, and automation tools.
  
• Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle environments (AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud, or Azure).
  
• Strong understanding of database security, user management, and compliance requirements.
  
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
  
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
  
• Experience with NoSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL databases.
  
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD tools.
  
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
