Job summary

OPTISCH EYEWEAR in Bengaluru seeks a full-time Optometrist to perform comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe lenses and other optical solutions. You will work closely with the sales and dispensing team to ensure accurate prescriptions, frame selection support, and optimal fit for customers.

Candidates should have a recognized Optometry degree or diploma, with registration/eligibility, and strong refraction and ocular health skills.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree or diploma in Optometry and valid registration or eligibility to practice as an Optometrist, in line with local regulations.
• Strong clinical skills in refraction, basic ocular health evaluation, and contact lens consulting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to explain clinical findings clearly and build trust.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based in Bengaluru. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction and will prescribe appropriate lenses and other optical solutions. The role involves working closely with the sales and dispensing team to ensure accurate lens prescriptions, frame selection support, and optimal fit for customers.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree or diploma in Optometry and valid registration or eligibility to practice as an Optometrist, in line with local regulations.
• Strong clinical skills in refraction, basic ocular health evaluation, and contact lens consulting, with the ability to deliver accurate and consistent prescriptions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings clearly, build trust with customers, and collaborate with store staff.
• Proficiency with standard optometry equipment and basic familiarity with digital tools or practice management systems; openness to learning new technologies.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work on-site full time in Bengaluru, managing a steady flow of appointments in a fast-paced setting.
• Prior experience in optical retail or clinical optometry is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates with strong fundamentals and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
