Qualifications

• Relevant optometry qualification (Diploma or Bachelor’s in Optometry) and valid registration or eligibility as per local regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting eye examinations, refractions, and contact lens fittings using standard diagnostic instruments and tools.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to explain clinical findings and recommendations clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively with retail and operations teams, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Comfort with using digital systems and point-of-sale or practice management software; willingness to learn new technology-enabled workflows.
• Attention to detail, adherence to hygiene and safety protocols, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.

Role Description

The Optometrist will work full time on-site in the Pune District, providing comprehensive eye examinations and vision consultations to customers. Responsibilities include conducting refractions, assessing visual acuity, recommending appropriate lenses or frames, and guiding customers on contact lens use and eye care best practices. The Optometrist will maintain accurate clinical records, ensure adherence to professional and safety standards, and support store teams in delivering a high-quality customer experience. The role also involves educating customers on eye health, collaborating with sales staff to ensure correct prescriptions are dispensed, and using diagnostic equipment and digital tools as part of daily practice. The Optometrist is expected to contribute to a welcoming environment, support operational efficiency, and participate in ongoing training and updates on clinical and product developments.
