CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd seeks a skilled Cylindrical Grinder to produce carbide and steel cutting tools. You will set up and operate precision grinding equipment, ensuring close tolerances and top-quality finishes while performing in-process inspections and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cylindrical grinding operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in grinding of carbide and steel cutting tools.
• Knowledge of cylindrical grinding machines, wheel selection, and machine setup.
• Ability to achieve close tolerances and high-quality surface finishes.
• Experience inspecting components with micrometres, verniers and dial gauges.
• Understanding of cutting tool manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and process specifications.
• Knowledge of safety practices and machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform cylindrical grinding of carbide and steel cutting tools as per specifications.
• Set up and operate grinding machines independently.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Conduct in-process inspections and maintain production records.
• Follow safety and quality procedures at all times.
• Perform wheel dressing and basic machine adjustments to maintain grinding performance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and 5S practices in production area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and improve productivity.
