Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd, a Plansee Group company, is hiring fresh graduates for CNC operator roles in Karnataka. The position involves operating CNC grinding and machining equipment, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring quality and traceability of parts.

You will join a disciplined manufacturing team, work in shifts, and follow SOPs and 5S practices while contributing to safe, efficient production with potential for long-term growth.

Qualifications

• ITI with fitter/turner/machinist/CNC operator or equivalent; Diploma preferred.
• Freshers or trainees eligible (NEEM/NAPS/NATS) or up to 2 years experience.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machines and machining processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Familiarity with Vernier Calipers and Micrometers.
• Understanding of cutting tools manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Good attention to detail, quality focus, and process discipline.
• Willingness to work in shifts and follow safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Tool Grinding, CNC Machining and other production machines per SOPs.
• Load/unload materials to meet production targets.
• Follow loading charts and supervisor instructions.
• Perform in-process inspections per plans and drawings.
• Record inspection and production data accurately.
• Use measurement tools for quality verification.
• Prepare tools, fixtures, gauges, and accessories.
• Monitor machine conditions and report issues promptly.
• Ensure proper product identification, barcoding and traceability.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and 5S practices.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate assigned CNC Tool Grinding, CNC Machining, and other production machines as per SOPs and work instructions.
• Load and unload materials/components safely to achieve production targets.
• Follow machine loading charts, production plans, and supervisor instructions.
• Perform in-process inspections as per inspection plans and engineering drawings.
• Record inspection and production data accurately in relevant formats.
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Callipers, Micrometres, and gauges for quality verification.
• Prepare and maintain required tools, fixtures, gauges, and accessories for production.
• Monitor machine conditions and report any quality, machine, or safety issues promptly.
• Ensure proper product identification, barcoding, and traceability after job completion.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and adhere to 5S practices.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures while performing assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.

PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

• ITI in Fitter, Turner, Machinist, CNC Operator, Tool & Die Maker, Mechanical Trades, or equivalent. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Freshers, NEEM/NAPS/NATS Trainees, Apprentices, and candidates with up to 2 years of experience are eligible.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machines, machining processes, and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers and Micrometers.
• Basic understanding of cutting tools manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Good attention to detail, quality focus, and process discipline.
• Willingness to work in shifts and comply with safety requirements.
