Job summary

The PSA/Compressor Operator role at L R Energy Karnal Pvt Ltd oversees the safe operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of PSA systems and gas compressors at the CBG plant. You will ensure continuous production meeting quality standards while following safety and environmental guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience in PSA or gas processing plants, with ITI or diploma in mechanical/electrical/instrumentation.

Qualifications

• ITI or diploma in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or related trade is required.
• 2–5 years of experience in PSA, gas compressors, or gas processing plants.
• Experience in CBG/biogas plants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor PSA units for biogas upgrading to CBG per SOPs.
• Operate CBG compressors and dryers and related equipment.
• Monitor pressure, temperature, flow, purity, and moisture parameters.
• Ensure CBG quality for bottling or pipeline injection.
• Start-up, shutdown, and changeovers of PSA and compressor systems.
• Perform routine inspections, logging, and reporting of data.
• Identify alarms and deviations and take corrective actions.
• Cooperate with maintenance for preventive tasks.
• Ensure safety systems and emergency shutdowns function properly.
• Maintain housekeeping in PSA and compressor areas.

Job Summary

The PSA / Compressor Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of the PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) system and gas compressors at the CBG plant. The role ensures continuous production of CBG meeting quality standards while complying with safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor PSA units for biogas upgrading to CBG as per SOPs
• Operate CBG compressors, dryers, and associated auxiliary equipment
• Monitor critical parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow, purity, and moisture
• Ensure CBG quality meets required specifications for bottling or pipeline injection
• Start-up, shutdown, and changeover of PSA and compressor systems safely
• Perform routine inspections, logging, and reporting of operational data
• Identify abnormalities, alarms, or deviations and take corrective actions
• Carry out basic preventive maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams
• Ensure proper operation of safety systems, interlocks, and emergency shutdowns
• Maintain housekeeping standards in PSA and compressor areas
• Follow all safety, HSE, and statutory compliance requirements
• Assist during breakdowns, emergencies, and plant audits

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or relevant trade
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in PSA, gas compressors, or gas processing plants
• Experience in CBG, biogas, CNG, PNG, refinery, or industrial gas plants preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of PSA technology and gas separation processes
• Hands-on experience with screw/reciprocating compressors
• Basic understanding of PLC/DCS operations
• Ability to read P&IDs, operating manuals, and safety procedures
• Familiarity with dryers, filters, valves, and pressure vessels

Working Conditions

• Rotational shifts, including night shifts
  • Exposure to plant operations and equipment
  • PPE compliance mandatory.
