Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled CNC Grinder to set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines. You will read drawings, edit and run programs, and monitor cycle times while ensuring strict dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

The role requires ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2–5 years of CNC grinding experience, with knowledge of GD&T and precision measuring tools. Training and growth opportunities available in an innovative metalworking group.

Qualifications

• ITI or diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of CNC cylindrical grinding experience.
• Experience in precision component manufacturing is an advantage.
• Experience operating CNC cylindrical grinding machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators).
• Understanding of grinding wheels, dressing methods, and machining parameters.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and quality specifications.
• Load, edit, and run CNC grinding programs.
• Monitor grinding parameters and optimize cycle times.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and TPM activities.
• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Report machine, tooling, or quality issues to the supervisor.
