Job summary

Isha Foundation, Inc. is seeking a proactive Warehouse and Inventory Specialist in Tamil Nadu to manage stock, optimize workflows, and ensure accurate records across online, retail, and institutional channels.

You will lead inbound/outbound operations, implement FIFO/FEFO, coordinate with procurement, logistics, and cross-functional teams, and produce KPIs to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels for all SKUs across channels (online, retail, institutional).
• Collaborate with procurement and production to plan inventory replenishment based on sales trends, lead times and safety stock.
• Analyze forecasts and consumption data to plan inventory ordering cycles.
• Regularly update and reconcile inventory records in ERP/WMS systems.
• Track slow/moving/obsolete stock; prepare reports and action plans.
• Supervise inbound and outbound operations – receiving, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO principles for inventory movement.
• Maintain accuracy in physical vs system stock through stock audits and cycle counts.
• Coordinate with logistics providers for smooth dispatch and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align supply and demand and ensure product availability for campaigns.
• Provide KPI reports on stock status, variance, turnaround time and order fulfillment.

Job description

Analyze sales forecasts and consumption data to plan inventory ordering

cycles.

Regularly update and reconcile inventory records in ERP/WMS systems.

Track slow-moving, fast-moving, and obsolete stock; prepare reports and recommend action plans.

Warehouse Operations

Supervise inbound and outbound operations – receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.

Ensure FIFO / FEFO principles are followed for inventory movement.

Maintain accuracy in physical vs. system stock through periodic stock audits

and cycle counts.

Oversee space utilization and storage optimization in warehouse layout.

Coordinate with logistics providers for smooth dispatch and timely delivery.

Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams

Work closely with e-commerce, retail, and procurement teams to align

supply and demand.

Coordinate with quality control to ensure that received and dispatched goods

meet standards.

Communicate regularly with the marketing and operations teams on product

availability for campaigns or new launches.

Data & Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and warehouse performance

reports (stock status, variance, turnaround time, order fulfillment rates, etc.).

Track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, stock turnover ratio, order lead time,

and warehouse efficiency.

Provide insights for continuous process improvements.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company policies, safety

standards, and statutory regulations.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse (5S methodology).

Support sustainability initiatives by minimizing waste, packaging optimization,

and recycling practices.
