Job summary

Being Human Clothing seeks a seasoned Manager Warehouse & Logistics to lead end-to-end warehouse operations and the logistics function. The role covers inventory control, order fulfilment, and distribution across stores, franchises, and e-commerce channels.

You will optimize costs, implement SOPs, and drive improvements with a multi-location retail focus. Candidate should have 10–12 years in warehouse/logistics, hands-on ERP/WMS experience, and strong leadership to manage cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations will be an added advantage.
• Experience managing high-volume SKU-based inventory, seasonal merchandise, and multi-location retail distribution.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems, inventory management, and warehouse processes.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management, 3PL operations, freight management, and distribution planning.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and preparation of operational MIS reports.
• Experience in team management, vendor coordination, cost control, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure efficient handling and storage of fashion products and accessories.
• Establish warehouse layout, bin locations, SKU-wise storage, and stock identification systems.
• Ensure timely inward/outward shipments as per business needs.
• Implement SOPs to improve efficiency and productivity.

Role Summary

• We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Manager Warehouse & Logistics to manage end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory control, order fulfilment, and logistics for our fashion and retail business.
• The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient storage, accurate inventory management, timely dispatches, cost optimization, and seamless distribution of merchandise to Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs), Multi-Brand Outlets (MBOs), Large Format Stores (LFS), franchise stores, and e-commerce channels.

Total Experience

• 10-12 years of relevant experience in warehouse and logistics operations, preferably in fashion, apparel, footwear, or retail.

1. Warehouse Operations

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of merchandise.
• Ensure efficient handling and storage of garments, footwear, accessories, and other fashion products.
• Establish and maintain proper warehouse layout, bin locations, SKU-wise storage, and stock identification systems.
• Ensure timely processing of inward and outward shipments as per business requirements.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

2. Inventory Management & Control

• Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse locations and ensure proper stock reconciliation.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical stock audits, and periodic inventory verification.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, shortages, excess stock, damages, and stock losses.
• Monitor ageing inventory, slow-moving and non-moving stock, and co-ordinate with merchandising and retail teams for stock movement.
• Ensure proper inventory tracking through ERP/WMS systems and maintain SKU, style, size, and colour-wise stock accuracy.

3. Logistics & Distribution

• Manage primary and secondary logistics, including warehouse-to-store and inter-store transfers.
• Coordinate with transporters, courier partners, 3PL service providers, and internal stakeholders for timely deliveries.
• Plan dispatch schedules, vehicle utilization, route optimization, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor freight costs, transportation expenses, delivery performance, and logistics service levels.
• Handle transit damages, shortages, delivery discrepancies, and claims with logistics partners.
• Ensure timely distribution of seasonal collections, new launches, promotional merchandise, and replenishment stock.

4. Retail & E-commerce Fulfilment

• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment for EBO, MBO, LFS, franchise, and online sales channels.
• Coordinate with retail, sales, merchandising, planning, and e-commerce teams to meet dispatch and replenishment requirements.
• Manage priority shipments during seasonal launches, sales periods, festive demand, and peak business periods.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, labelling, invoicing, and documentation for all dispatches.
• Monitor order fulfilment turnaround time and delivery service levels.

5. Team Management

• Lead and supervise warehouse executives, supervisors, storekeepers, pickers, packers, and logistics personnel.
• Allocate manpower and shifts according to operational requirements.
• Train team members on inventory accuracy, warehouse processes, safety standards, and productivity improvement.
• Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to defined KPIs.

6. Cost Control & Process Improvement

• Prepare and manage warehouse and logistics budgets.
• Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs, storage expenses, manpower costs, and operational wastage.
• Improve warehouse productivity through process standardization, space utilization, and technology adoption.
• Evaluate transporter and 3PL performance and negotiate service terms in coordination with management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve turnaround time, service quality, and cost efficiency.

7. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on inventory, inward/outward movement, dispatches, pending orders, stock ageing, and logistics costs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, order fulfilment rate, on-time delivery, dispatch turnaround time, and freight cost.
• Maintain proper documentation, invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, proof of delivery, and other applicable statutory records.
• Provide operational updates and performance reports to senior management.

8. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and warehouse safety procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping, storage practices, fire safety, and material-handling standards.
• Ensure safe handling of merchandise and minimize damage, pilferage, and stock loss.
• Coordinate with finance, audit, and internal control teams during stock audits and operational reviews.
