Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day plant operations with end-to-end accountability for production, PPC, stores, quality, dispatch, maintenance and customer coordination
• Plan and supervise pretreatment, painting, curing, finishing to meet production and delivery plans
• Maintain process parameters, safety and shop-floor discipline; reduce waste
• Coordinate production plans, material availability, inventory controls, dispatch schedules and transport
• Own in-process/final quality, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and audits readiness
• Ensure preventive maintenance of booths, ovens, conveyors, utilities; resolve breakdowns
• Lead function heads and teams; drive 5S and continuous improvement
• Report production, quality, delivery, inventory and cost performance to Owner/Director

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Lead day-to-day plant operations for an automotive paint and coating unit, with end-to-end accountability for production, PPC, stores, quality, dispatch, maintenance and customer coordination.

• Plan and supervise pre-treatment, painting, curing/baking and finishing to achieve production and delivery plans.
• Maintain process parameters, safety and shop-floor discipline; reduce rework, rejection, paint usage and other waste.
• Coordinate production plans, material availability, inventory controls, dispatch schedules and transport.
• Own in-process/final quality, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, customer complaints and audit readiness.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of booths, ovens, conveyors, compressors and utilities; resolve breakdowns.
• Lead function in-charges and their teams; drive 5S, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Report production, quality, delivery, inventory and cost performance to the Owner/Director.

Preferred candidate profile

• 10 to 12 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive components / ancillary businesses.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in a paint shop, surface coating, electroplating or finishing operation.
• At least 1 to 2 years in plant/operations management, leading multiple functions and teams.
• Demonstrated experience with customer (Tier 1/OEM) audits and IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 systems; knowledge of PPAP, control plans, RCA, CAPA and 7 QC tools.
• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Paint Technology or a related discipline preferred. Lean, quality or production-management training is an advantage.
• Hands-on, data-oriented leader comfortable in a growing, owner-driven plant; ERP and Excel/MIS skills preferred.
• Willing to work on-site in Sanaswadi, Maharashtra and support extended hours during audits, dispatches or production exigencies. Candidates local to the area or willing to relocate are preferred.

Salary: 11 to 12 LPA; may extend by up to 1 lakh for an exceptional fit

Working hours: Minimum 9 hours; weekly off: Thursday
