Job summary

Talent Corner HR Services seeks a BD/sales professional for the automotive coating job-work sector in and around Sanaswadi, Pune. You will identify Tier 1/2 manufacturers and OEMs needing outsourced painting, map decision-makers, generate RFQs, and coordinate with production, quality, and costing teams to prepare timely quotations.

The role involves growing accounts, travel as needed, and reporting pipeline, conversions, and capacity alignment to the MD.

Role & responsibilities

• Identify automotive Tier 1/Tier 2 component manufacturers and OEMs requiring outsourced painting/coating job-work. Map prospects, decision-makers, competitors, and opportunities in the plant's service area. Generate and follow up on RFQs; coordinate with production, quality, and costing teams to prepare timely quotations. Track the pipeline and inquiry-to-order conversion.
• Support vendor empanelment, plant audits, sample trials, and PPAP approvals. Help grow existing accounts through additional components, volumes, and part approvals. Coordinate costing reviews and help resolve delivery, quality, and communication issues. Align sales activity with available capacity; report visits, pipeline, conversions, and capacity utilisation to the MD. Represent the company at customer meetings and industry exhibitions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in any discipline; Mechanical/Production Engineering or an MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred. 4-6 years of business development/sales experience, preferably in automotive components, ancillary manufacturing, engineering, or job-work. Tier 1/Tier 2/OEM vendor development experience preferred; paint shop, surface finishing, or coating experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; confident engaging purchase and SQE teams. Basic job-work costing knowledge, strong Excel/reporting skills, and disciplined pipeline/CRM tracking. Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable as a hands-on individual contributor. Willing to travel extensively. Valid driving licence and own two-wheeler/four-wheeler preferred. Based near Sanaswadi, Pune, or willing to relocate.
